Product Overview
The Sealcon CD09AA-FE is a nickel-plated brass cord grip for EMI/RFI shielding and liquid-tight cable entry. The PG 9 fitting accommodates cable outside diameters from 0.16 to 0.31 inch (4 to 8 mm). Its feed-through grounding arrangement uses metal spring fingers to contact the cable shield.
The design supports braided or foil-shielded cable that has been partially or fully stripped for the shielding connection. A Buna-N seal and nylon 6/6 splined bushing provide the sealing and clamping components. The self-locking ACME dome thread helps maintain the concentric seal and retain the form seal within the fitting.
The cord grip provides pull-out protection while combining shield grounding with the cable-entry seal. Its sealing specifications include NEMA 4X and 6, IP68 and IP69K, 150 psig (10 bar) pressure resistance and submersion to 300 feet. The body is 1.10 inches (28 mm) long, with a 0.24-inch (6 mm) mounting thread.
Applications
Suitable for shielded cable entries in industrial control cabinets, machinery and equipment requiring an EMI/RFI grounding connection. Match the cable shield construction, outside diameter and enclosure entry to the fitting’s feed-through arrangement.
Installation and Selection
Confirm the 4–8 mm cable diameter, PG 9 thread and 0.60-inch (15.2 mm) through hole. Prepare the cable shield to engage the metal spring fingers and check the required enclosure grounding arrangement. Order the locking nut separately when needed.
