Intrinsically Safe Relays for Hazardous Environments

The Macromatic instrinsically safe relays handled by Major Electronix are intended for use in hazardous locations. The current models can have a plug-in or DIN-Rail style housing. They can be used in Class I Div I, Groups A, B, C, and D, Class II Div I, Groups E, F, and G, and Class III Div I. These relays keep low-voltage circuits in potentially explosive areas from igniting. Class I refers to gases & vapors, Class II refers to dust, and Class III refers to fibers. Division I indicates that these substances are typically always present or produced in a given environment.
