The Red Lion Sixnet® Series SLX-8MS-5ST is a fully managed eight-port industrial Ethernet switch built for real-time data, secure network operation, and reliable communication in demanding automation environments. It includes six auto-sensing 10/100BaseTX RJ45 ports and two 100BaseFX singlemode fiber ports with ST-style connectors.
This SlimLine Plus SLX series switch is housed in a rugged aluminum DIN-rail enclosure that saves panel space while supporting industrial vibration, shock, temperature, and power conditions. With 20 km singlemode fiber reach, redundant 10-30VDC power inputs, storm protection, and monitoring features, the SLX-8MS-5ST is designed for managed Ethernet networks in factories, utilities, transportation systems, maritime installations, and hazardous locations.

The SLX-8MS-5ST uses singlemode fiber with ST-style fiber connectors and supports up to 20 km distance on 9 or 10/125 µm fiber. Confirm the existing fiber type, connector style, cable distance, and 10-30VDC power source before installation.
This switch is fully managed. Network settings such as VLANs, RSTP, SNMP, security, multicast filtering, and alarms should be configured for the application before commissioning.
