Form A DIN 43650 Connectors for Solenoid Valves

DIN 43650 Form A connectors are known by their "U" shaped pins facing inwards and have a 18 mm measurement between pins #1 & #2.

DIN 43650 standards are a set of standards developed by Deutsches Institut fur Normung e.V. (DIN), the German Institute for Standardization. You may also see ISO 4400 (the International Organization for Standardization) and EN 175301-803 (European Standards) used to describe these connectors. Form A DIN connectors are primarily used with solenoid valves offering a secure and water resistant method for applying power. The Din 43650 connectors can be found in hydraulics and pneumatics applications as well as pressure sensors and switches, optical, limit and proximity switches. They are also useful for marine applications.

There are many types of Form A DIN solenoid valve connectors handled by Major Electronix. Also referred to as sensor connectors, they are water resistant and can feature several options. Surge suppression, diodes and various lengths of molded cable can be added to Form A DIN connectors from a number of different manufacturers, including Hirschmann, HTP, MURR and Omal. Form A male connectors are panel mount, port mount, or for molding and can be either 2 + ground or 3 + ground. The hardwired Form A connectors feature PG 9 or PG 11 cable entries, as well as 1/2" NPT for conduit. The HTP hardwired connectors have a removable unified grommet to accommodate a 5-10 mm range of cable. DIN 43650 Form A connectors with molded cable are 3 + ground or 2 + 2 ground and can come with 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 meter cable lengths. Circuited versions of the hardwired and molded connectors have options including an LED indicator to confirm the voltage supply and MOV surge suppression or diodes to give overvoltage protection to the source and load. The M12 DIN connectors are fitted to an M12 receptacle or molded cable plug and can be circuited if necessary. Various Form A DIN 43650 connectors can also have more specialized circuits, including features such as Z-diodes to redirect surges, RCs to absorb & discharge surges, bridge rectifiers to convert AC to DC, and switching amplifiers to control the output.
