The straight Sealcon strain relief fittings feature a molded O-Ring groove, while the snap elbows and some of the conduit fittings do not have recess for an O-Ring. For these cases, a seal ring is the better choice, unless a recess can be beveled to accommodate an O-Ring. Use Seal Rings if mounting these fittings to a control panel, securing them with a locking nut, when NEMA 4x or 6 (European IP 68 - submersible) is needed.
