Four Port Hirschmann Ethernet Switches
Hirschmann 4-Port Ethernet switches provide a versatile networking foundation. Designed for reliability in demanding settings, these switches deliver four 10/100 Mbps (in some cases mixed copper/fiber) ports with auto-negotiation, auto-crossing, and auto-polarity exchange. This simplifies installation and eliminates the need for manual cable configuration.
Built for the harsher conditions found in the industrial environment, Hirschmann’s 4-port models typically feature metal housings and wide operating temperature ranges (up to -40 C to 85 C on some models), enabling operation on factory floors or vibration-heavy control rooms. Most are DIN-rail mounted, however some are media modules designed for rackmount switches.
For managed 4-port switches like the Hirschmann GECKO 4TX, additional advantages include redundancy protocols (e.g. RSTP), SNMP-based network monitoring, web configuration, and built-in diagnostics. These features help allow for network monitoring against faults or unauthorized access, as well as make sure traffic is flowing as it should.
Hirschmann four port switches are ideal for small to mid-size networks, edge-of-network segments, or point-to-multipoint connections. Not designed for residential use, they are found in industrial automation, control cabinets, building management, or remote-device networking delivering.
