The straight Sealcon strain relief fittings have a molded O-Ring groove, while the snap elbows and some of the conduit fittings do not have recess for an O-Ring. In these instances, a Seal Ring is the ideal choice, unless a recess can be beveled to accommodate an O-Ring. Seal Rings are used when mounting these fittings to a control panel and secured with a locking nut when NEMA 4x or 6 (European IP 68 - submersible) is needed.
