Dual Entry Push Button Boxes
2‑position push button boxes are compact enclosures engineered to house two actuator devices, such as push buttons, selector switches, or indicator lights, organized in a side‑by‑side layout. These enclosures support industrial control, safety, and signaling applications by offering environmental protection, mechanical strength, and simplified wiring.
Technical Attributes & Selection Guidelines
-
Construction & Materials: Boxes can be fabricated from 0.063" carbon steel with powder coating (e.g. ANSI‑61 gray) to resist corrosion and wear. Stainless steel variants (304 grade) are available for washdown or corrosive environments. Fiberglass is another option where chemical resistance and electrical isolation are necessary. PBT plastic offers colored yellow or red lids to make them easy to spot. Other plastic versions such as ABS plastic or polycarbonate offer cost effective solutions
- Hole Size & Layout: Models accommodate actuator hole diameters of 22, 22.5, 25, 30, or 30.5 mm. Choose the hole size consistent with the switches, pilot lights, or emergency devices in use.
-
Ingress Protection & Sealing: Some 2‑position enclosures meet NEMA Types 4, 12, and 13, along with IP 65, or IP 66/67 ratings.
-
Depth & Clearance: Extra‑deep versions offer additional clearance for larger wiring bundles or modular contact block assemblies, avoiding interference or strain on the actuator mechanisms.
-
Application Environments: Use standard enclosures in dry, indoor, or moderately challenging environments. Choose stainless steel or fiberglass boxes in washdown, marine, or high‑corrosion settings.
