The Hirschmann BRS40-8TX/4SFP-EEC (P/N 942170-019) is a 12-port managed industrial Ethernet switch with Gigabit uplinks built for managed DIN-rail network architectures. Its port configuration combines 8 x 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ45 ports plus 4 x 100/1000Mbit/s SFP fiber ports, providing a compact platform for connecting and segmenting industrial Ethernet networks. The fanless design eliminates moving cooling components and supports operation across an extended temperature range of -40 C to +70 C (-40 F to 158 F).
BOBCAT managed switching functions include VLAN segmentation, traffic prioritization, multicast control, link aggregation, and resilient ring protocols.
