The Red Lion N-Tron
® Series SER-485-IR is an Industrial Isolated Repeater. Designed for industrial use, it is certified for operating in Class 1 Division 2 environments. The SER-485-IR features optical isolation that protects data and equipment from power surges and ground loops as well as isolation on the power supply circuits. Housed in a strong plastic ABS case, the SER-485-IR has a wide operating temperature range. It is simple to incorporate the SER-485-IR into the existing control panel because of the DIN-Rail mounting bracket. The DIP switches that set up data rate and serial communication make installing and configuring the SER-485-IR easier. Wiring is less complicated due to the removable terminal blocks. Power through an external source is connected through a terminal block that allows 10-48 VDC. UL approved.
