Sealcon CD07GA-GY: Gray Nylon Enlarged-Body Cable Gland, PG 7 / 1/4 in. NPT, 4–8 mm Cable
Gray Nylon 6/6 enlarged-body cord grip for 0.16–0.31 in. (4–8 mm) cable and a compact PG 7 / 1/4 in. NPT panel entry. It allows a larger cable jacket to enter the gland while the conductors pass through the smaller threaded opening.
✅ Enlarged Cable Range with a Compact Thread
Choose the CD07GA-GY when the cable outside diameter is 0.16–0.31 in. (4–8 mm) but the available enclosure entry is PG 7 / 1/4 in. NPT. The enlarged gray nylon body maintains a liquid-tight strain-relief interface for the larger cable jacket.
Adapt Larger Cable to Restricted Enclosure Entries
The Sealcon CD07GA-GY enlarged-body cable gland addresses installations where the cable diameter increases but the thread size must remain compact. Gray Nylon 6/6 construction resists corrosion, and the Buna-N seal protects the entry from moisture and contaminants.
Patented overlapping clamping splines press concentrically around the cable to provide pull-out resistance without damaging the jacket. The recessed grommet stays protected inside the dome, and compatible standard or reduced inserts can be exchanged when the application requires another supported opening.
↔️ 4–8 mm Cable
Enlarged body accepts a larger cable jacket at a PG 7 / 1/4 in. NPT entry
💧 NEMA 4X/6
IP68/IP69K sealing, 300 ft. submersion, and 150 psig capability
⚙️ Concentric Clamping
Overlapping splines provide even pull-out resistance around the jacket
◻️ Gray Nylon 6/6
Corrosion-resistant body with a Buna-N seal for industrial environments

📏 Verify Jacket and Entry Dimensions
Confirm that the cable O.D. is 0.16–0.31 in. (4–8 mm), the conductors can pass through the 0.49 in. (12.5 mm) through-hole, and the panel entry is PG 7 / 1/4 in. NPT. Standard and reduced inserts may be available separately.
🔧 Installation Notes
Confirm conductor passage: Make sure the conductors and termination arrangement fit through the narrower entry section.
Position the cable jacket: Place the outer jacket inside the enlarged clamping and sealing area.
Install separate hardware: Use a compatible locking nut and O-ring when required; both are sold separately.
🏭 Typical Applications
Control panels with restricted entry sizes
Larger sensor and actuator cables
Machine and process equipment
Outdoor electrical enclosures
