Sealcon 1/2" NPT Nickel Plated Brass Multi-hole Strain Relief Fittings, Cord Grips and Cable Glands, are found in many industries and are used to attach cable or wire to different applications. This fitting can provide a NEMA 4x (IP 65) rating. The cable cannot be less than 80% of the diameter of the hole to obtain this rating. Also, there cannot be more than .04" (1 mm) of difference between the cable's diameter and the diameter of the hole. It is recommended that the fitting be tested beforehand to see if the NEMA 6 (IP 68) submersible rating has been achieved. The ACME thread on the CD16NPBR dome top is self locking, so the overlapping splines apply an even seal. This keeps the form seal from being pulled out of the fitting & provides your cable with pull-out protection so no damage is caused.
