Sealcon PG 48 Nickel Plated Brass Multi-hole strain relief fittings, also known as cord grips or cable glands, are used in a large number of industries when attaching cable or wire to different applications. This cable gland can obtain a NEMA 4x (IP 65) rating. For that to be possible, the cable cannot be less than 80% of the diameter of the hole. There also cannot be more than .04" (1 mm) of difference between the diameter of the cable and that of the hole. Testing may be needed to confirm if the NEMA 6 (IP 68) submersible rating is achievable. The ACME thread on the CD48APBR dome top is self locking and the overlapping splines apply an even seal. This keeps the form seal from being pulled out of the fitting & provides your cable with pull-out protection so it causes no damage.
