Sealcon 1/2" NPT Nickel Plated Brass Multi-hole Cable Glands, Cord Grips and Strain Relief fittings are used when connecting wire or cable to various applications. They can be found in many different industries. This strain relief provides a NEMA 4x (IP 65) rating. To reach this rating, the cable cannot be less than 80% of the diameter of the hole. The difference between the diameter of the cable and the hole also cannot be more than .04" (1 mm). The NEMA 6 (IP 68) submersible rating is possible to achieve, though testing may be required to confirm it. The ACME thread on the CD16N5BR dome top is self locking, with the overlapping splines creating an even seal, so that the form seal does not come out of the fitting. It also gives your cable pull-out protection so it causes no damage.
