The Meltric 33-64042 DS60 female receptacle provides a 480V AC, 60A connection with two poles and ground for industrial power applications. Rated for branch circuit and motor circuit disconnect switching, it has a 15 hp rating and accepts 10–2 AWG conductors. Its blue fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic polyamide body resists impact, ultraviolet exposure, and corrosion. Type 4X and IP66/IP67 environmental ratings support use in demanding industrial environments.
Industrial Power Connection and Disconnect Switching
Part of the Meltric Decontactor series, the DS60 combines a power connection with disconnect switching functionality. The push-button quick-break mechanism opens the circuit and releases the mating plug, while the enclosed arc chamber contains arcing at the contacts during disconnection. Use the 33-64042 receptacle with the corresponding compatible male inlet.
The safety shutter closes over the receptacle contacts before the plug is removed, restricting access to energized components. Inserting the compatible plug opens the shutter. These features support controlled connection and disconnection in industrial equipment installations.
Construction and Environmental Performance
The fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic polyamide housing provides corrosion resistance and withstands impact and UV exposure. The receptacle has an IK09 impact rating and an operating temperature range of −40°F to 140°F (−40°C to 60°C). Its closed dimensions are 4.99 inches high by 4.55 inches deep.
