Overview
The
Macromatic ARF012A6R is an 8 pin alternating relay with a 12V AC/DC control voltage and 10A SPDT output. It is used when the run time of two loads needs to be equalized, helping prevent one load from being used more than the other.8 Pin10A SPDTInner Door Mount
This relay features a flange enclosure for inner door mounting, allowing the relay to be accessed without opening the enclosure door. The ARF012A6R also comes with an
8 pin back mounted socket.
🔁 Load Alternating Function
Balanced Usage: Alternates between two loads to help equalize run time.
Status Visibility: Two LEDs indicate relay status for quick troubleshooting.
Manual Load Selection: Low profile selector switch can lock operation into one load or switch between both loads.
Key Features
- 12V AC/DC control voltage: supports low-voltage control circuits
- 10A SPDT output: handles control loads up to 10A
- 8 pin design: includes 8 pin back mounted socket
- Inner door mount enclosure: relay can be accessed without opening the door
- Wide operating temperature range: -28 C to 65 C (-18 F to 149 F)
- Long mechanical life: rated for 10,000,000 mechanical operations
- Multiple approvals: UL & CUL Recognized, CE, UL & CUL Listed with socket
✅ Why Use This Alternating Relay?
The ARF012A6R helps prevent uneven equipment wear by alternating operation between two loads. If one load is favored more than the other, the selector switch allows operation to be adjusted to balance usage.
How It Works
A control switch initiates the alternating action. The output contacts on the relay change state when the initiating switch opens, causing the connected loads to alternate.
- Control switch starts the alternating sequence
- Output contacts change state when the initiating switch opens
- Loads alternate to help balance run time
- Selector switch can lock operation into one load when needed
Applications
The ARF012A6R is ideal for control panels where two loads need to share operating time:
- Duplex pump control panels
- Compressor control systems
- Fan and blower sequencing
- Industrial equipment load balancing
- Control circuits requiring alternating load operation
