Multiple Cable Entries in One PG 9 Fitting
The four-hole insert provides larger individual openings than the 1.4 mm and 1.7 mm multi-hole variants. Its nickel-plated brass body is suited to industrial cable-entry layouts requiring four 2.3 mm openings within a PG 9 mounting point.
Construction and Dimensions
The nickel-plated brass body measures .83" (21 mm) in length, with a .24" (6 mm) mounting thread. The through-hole diameter is .60" (15.2 mm), and the dome and body wrench flats each measure .67" (17 mm). The assembly includes a Buna-N seal, a nylon 6/6 splined bushing, and a Buna-N O-ring.

Applications
Recommended uses include multiple small cable or wire entries in control panels, industrial junction boxes, machine enclosures, and equipment housings. The 4-hole configuration helps organize individual lines at one mounting location. Match every cable or wire diameter to its .09" (2.3 mm) opening and the required enclosure protection.
Installation and Selection Notes
- Match the mounting connection to PG 9 and confirm the .60" (15.2 mm) through-hole dimension.
- Check available thread engagement against the .24" (6 mm) thread length and provide tool access for the .67" (17 mm) wrench flats.
- Confirm that the 4-hole insert and .09" (2.3 mm) hole diameter suit the cable-entry layout.
- For IP65 and NEMA 4X sealing, each cable diameter must be at least 80% of the hole diameter. The difference between the hole diameter and cable diameter must also be no more than 0.04 inches (1 mm).
- IP68 and NEMA 6 submersible protection may be achievable with an ideal cable-to-hole fit. Confirm the assembled fit and test the application before relying on that higher protection level.

Sealing and Environmental Protection
Multi-hole sealing depends on the fit of each cable within its insert opening. Use the IP65 and NEMA 4X rating for selection, and treat IP68 and NEMA 6 as conditional on an ideal fit and application verification. The self-locking ACME dome thread distributes compression through the overlapping splines to help retain the seal and provide cable pull-out protection.
