The 63-64076 is part of the Meltric Decontactor series, and made for optimum safety by eliminating contact with arc flash. This also makes for more efficient operation, while the durable construction is made to last without constantly needing replacements. The DSN series of power connectors features a lightweight design that won't take up a lot of space. When coupled with the correct male inlet, the watertight design is ideal for wet or washdown applications in industrial environments. It features plug and play capability with a quick, easy disconnect.
Safety shutter: Covers over contacts before plug is taken out to prevent contact with active components. Shutter is opened when the compatible plug is inserted
Spring loaded contacts: Ensures that the connection has the correct amount of contact pressure. Balances out physical variations and stands up to wear and tear
Quick break mechanism: Disconnect by pushing the button, which breaks the circuit and detaches the plug.
Enclosed arc chamber: Keeps any chance of an arc flash contained inside. Contacts are kept inside the enclosure.
Spring assisted terminals: Spring ring provides pressure on the screw terminal and conductor to create a more secure connection
