The straight Sealcon cable glands feature a molded groove made for O-Rings, however the snap elbows and some of the conduit fittings do not have recess for an O-Ring. For these instances, a seal ring is the better choice, unless a recess can be beveled to fit an O-Ring. If a NEMA 4x or 6 (European IP 68 - submersible) rating is necessary, use a Seal Ring when mounting these to a control panel, securing it with a locking nut.
