The straight Sealcon strain relief fittings feature a molded groove for O-Rings, while the snap elbows and some of the conduit fittings do not have recess for an O-Ring. For these instances, a seal ring is the best choice, unless a recess can be beveled to accommodate an O-Ring. Use Seal Rings whenever a NEMA 4x or 6 (European IP 68 - submersible) rating is needed.
