Sealcon 1/2" NPT Nickel Plated Brass Multi-hole Cable Glands, also known as Cord Grips or Strain Relief fittings, are used to connect wire or cable to various applications. They can be found in many different industries. This cable gland is able to provide a NEMA 4x (IP 65) rating. The cable cannot be less than 80% of the diameter of the hole in order to reach this rating. The difference in diameter between the cable and the hole also cannot be more than .04" (1 mm). The NEMA 6 (IP 68) submersible rating is possible to achieve, though testing is recommended to confirm it. The ACME thread on the CD16N7BR dome top is self locking, with the overlapping splines creating an even seal. This ensures that the form seal does not come out of the fitting. It also gives your cable pull-out protection so no damage is caused.
