Liquid-Tight Strain Relief for Flat Cable
The Sealcon CD21NS-03 is a black Nylon 6/6 cord grip designed to secure flat electrical cable at an enclosure, junction box, panel, or equipment entry. It uses a 3/4" NPT thread and a shaped .28" x .55" (7 x 14mm) sealing insert that matches compatible flat cable more closely than a standard round-cable gland.
Patented overlapping clamping splines apply concentric force around the cable while the recessed elastomer grommet helps protect the jacket from pullout, vibration, moisture, and environmental exposure. The CD21NS-03 is also identified as Hummel part number 1.587.3401.71 and is sold individually.

⚠️ Locknut & O-Ring Are Sold Separately
The CD21NS-03 cord grip is sold individually without a locknut or O-ring. A compatible locknut is required when the fitting cannot thread directly into the enclosure. Use the correct O-ring when the installation requires sealing at the enclosure wall.
IP69K performance is possible only with an ideal cable fit, correct assembly, and the appropriate O-ring. Verify the complete installation against the required enclosure and ingress-protection rating.

📋 Installation Overview
1. Verify Cable Fit: Confirm that the flat cable profile matches the .28" x .55" (7 x 14mm) sealing slot.
2. Confirm Entry Method: Use a compatible 3/4" NPT threaded opening and obtain the correct locknut, if needed.
3. Add the O-Ring if Required: Install the separately sold O-ring when the enclosure-wall seal or target rating requires it.
4. Route the Cable: Pass the flat cable through the gland without twisting, folding, or damaging the jacket.
5. Secure the Body: Tighten the cord-grip body using the wrench flats while protecting the enclosure threads and sealing surface.
6. Tighten the Dome: Compress the elastomer seal evenly around the cable without overtightening.
7. Inspect the Assembly: Confirm cable retention, gasket contact, enclosure sealing, and strain relief before placing equipment in service.
Follow applicable electrical, enclosure, and installation requirements. Final ingress protection depends on the complete assembled system.
