The Red Lion PSAC0000 is a 3 wire inductive proximity sensor with an operating voltage of 10-30V DC, NPN O.C. output, and a 1.5 mm sensing distance. It has a 304 stainless steel body with a 10 foot shielded cable. Inductive sensors are used with metal targets, as opposed to plastic targets. Works with most Red Lion monitors, counters, and controls.

The 1.5 mm sensing distance refers to how far away the sensor can be from an iron metal target whose diameter is at least 0.25". The sensing distance should be 50-70% of maximum for best performance. For smaller or non-iron metal targets, refer to figures 2 and 3 in the user manual. Spacing between targets should be at least 0.25". The shielding inside the sensor allows it to be flush mounted in metal applications without it affecting sensing distance.
