When coupled with the compatible male inlet, it is ideal for wet or washdown applications in industrial environments, thanks to the watertight assembly.
Safety shutter: Covers over contacts before plug is removed to prevent contact with active components. Shutter is opened when the compatible plug is inserted
Spring loaded contacts: Ensures that the connection has the correct amount of contact pressure. Balances out physical variations and withstands wear and tear
Quick break mechanism: Disconnect by pushing the button, which breaks the circuit and detaches the plug.
Enclosed arc chamber: Keeps any chance of an arc flash inside. Contacts are contained inside the enclosure.
Spring assisted terminals: Spring ring provides pressure on the screw terminal and conductor to create a more secure connection
