The DuraChoice TW460 stainless steel 304 thermowell has a 6" stem length with 1/2" NPT female thread and 1/2" NPT male thread. Thermowells protect thermometers and similar equipment from harsh substances. The thermometer stem sits inside the thermowell, which conveys the level of heat from the object. With a thermowell, the thermometer can be removed if necessary, without affecting the tested object.
