Product Overview
The Sealcon CD09AA-GY is a gray nylon liquid-tight cord grip for securing cable at an enclosure or equipment entry. It has a PG 9 mounting thread and accepts cable outside diameters from 0.16 to 0.31 inch (4 to 8 mm). The fitting combines strain relief and environmental sealing in one cable-entry component.
A nylon 6/6 body and Buna-N seal work with overlapping clamping splines and a recessed grommet. Concentric clamping force helps retain the cable while protecting its jacket. The vibration-resistant ratchet dome supports retention of the adjusted assembly.
The fitting provides NEMA 4X and 6, IP68 and IP69K sealing specifications, with a 150 psig (10 bar) pressure rating and submersion to 300 feet. It has a body length of 0.87 inch (22 mm) and a thread length of 0.31 inch (8 mm). The locking nut and O-ring are separate ordering items.
Applications
Suitable for cable entries in control enclosures, machinery and industrial electrical equipment. The gray nylon construction supports installations that call for a plastic cable gland with a defined sealing range and vibration-resistant dome.
Installation and Selection
Check the PG 9 entry, 4–8 mm cable diameter and 0.60-inch (15.2 mm) through-hole requirement. Allow access for the 19 mm dome and body wrench flats. Include the separately sold locking nut and O-ring if required by the mounting arrangement.
