HSTB3/32 does not just protect wires by acting as insulation. It is also used to keep dirt and other outside elements away from splices and inline components. This heat shrink tubing can also be used as a light duty harness for wire or cable.

When heat is introduced to the tubing, it can shrink down to about half of its original diameter. This will encase the wire or connection with an effective safeguard against outside contaminants. After heating it has a nominal recovered wall thickness of 0.02". With a 500ft reel, the tubing can be cut to nearly any length that is needed.
