Safety shutter: Closes over contacts before plug is taken out to prevent contact with active components. Shutter is opened when the compatible plug is inserted
Spring loaded contacts: Ensures that the connection has the right amount of contact pressure. Balances out physical variations and withstands wear and tear
Quick break mechanism: Disconnect by pushing the button, which breaks the circuit and detaches the plug.
Enclosed arc chamber: Keeps any chance of an arc flash inside. Contacts are contained inside the enclosure.
