The Macromatic SFFAD7A250 is a seal leak relay. This 8 Pin plug-in relay has an input voltage of 24V AC/DC. It is a deadfront, inner door mounted, single channel relay made to monitor for leaks in submersible pump seals and has an output of 10A SPDT. The sensitivity is adjustable and LEDs on the top show the current status. The single channel feature means that the relay detects leaks for a single pump. Includes 8 pin SRP-M08G back mounted socket.

The resistance is measured by a probe that is inserted in the pump seal cavity. In the event of a leak, resistance between the probe and the connection is lowered by contaminating fluid that goes into the seal cavity. The relay energizes when the resistance goes below the preset sensitivity point and the LED is red. Otherwise, the LED is green as long as the input voltage is present.
