The Sealcon CD25MP-BK metric nylon cord grip provides a secure cable-entry point for electrical enclosures, control panels, machinery and industrial equipment. Its M25 × 1.5 metric thread and rugged Nylon 6/6 construction make it suitable for applications exposed to vibration, moisture, salt water, oils and many common industrial chemicals.
The self-locking ACME thread in the dome compresses the overlapping internal splines evenly around the cable. This design helps maintain the environmental seal while providing strain relief and pull-out protection that reduces stress on internal wiring and termination points. The fitting is also identified as Hummel 1.597.2599.51 and uses Hummel insert 1.089.2199.19.

📐 Cable Fit Determines the Final Protection Rating
Correct cable-to-insert sizing is essential for strain relief and environmental sealing. For IP65/NEMA 4X performance, the cable diameter should be at least 80% of the applicable sealing opening, and the difference between the cable diameter and opening should not exceed 0.04" (1 mm). IP68/NEMA 6 protection may be possible when the cable, insert and fitting produce an ideal seal.
