Conduit Connection and Construction
The black nylon body provides a push-in connection for corrugated nylon conduit. Insert the tubing until the hook snaps over the corrugation to engage the retention feature. Wrench flats provide access for a wrench at the threaded connection, and the groove accommodates an O-ring for the applicable sealing arrangement.
Key Features
- Push-in retention engages the corrugated tubing with a snap-over hook.
- Black nylon construction suits corrugated nylon conduit connections.
- An O-ring groove accommodates the separate sealing component.
- Fixed or turnable conduit mounting supports different installation requirements.
Applications
Use this fitting to connect DN 10 corrugated nylon conduit in machinery wiring, control cabinet cable routes, and industrial equipment assemblies. Match the M16 x 1.5 thread to the mating connection. The conduit size identifies the tubing compatibility and should be checked separately from the mounting thread.
Installation Notes
- Confirm that the corrugated nylon conduit has the required nominal DN 10 size.
- Match the mating thread to M16 x 1.5, and check the body length, thread length, and wrench clearance against the installation.
- Insert the conduit until the retaining hook snaps over the corrugation.
- Use fixed conduit mounting for a liquid-tight arrangement or turnable mounting for a non-liquid-tight arrangement.
Ingress Protection and Selection
Protection is IP54 (NEMA 2) with an O-ring and IP65 with fixed conduit mounting. The mounting and sealing arrangement determines the applicable protection rating. Turnable conduit mounting is non-liquid-tight. Select the arrangement to suit the installation environment and the operating temperature range of -20°C to 80°C (-4°F to 176°F).
