Product Overview
The Sealcon CD09AA-RV is a nickel-plated brass liquid-tight cord grip with PVDF and Viton components for applications involving temperature extremes and chemical exposure. Its PG 9 thread and 0.16-to-0.31-inch (4–8 mm) cable range support industrial strain relief and cable-entry sealing.
The fitting uses a Viton insert, PVDF clamping insert and Viton seal within the nickel-plated brass body. Its operating temperature range is -35°C to 150°C (-31°F to 302°F). Standard and reduced inserts can be exchanged to change the cable opening for the required configuration.
A self-locking ACME dome thread drives the overlapping splines to apply concentric sealing force and retain the form seal. The fitting provides pull-out protection together with NEMA 4X and 6, IP68 and IP69K sealing specifications. Its pressure rating is 150 psig (10 bar), with submersion to 300 feet.
Applications
Suitable for industrial equipment and enclosure cable entries where chemical exposure or elevated and low temperatures affect material selection. Match the cable jacket, seal materials and operating conditions to the application.
Installation and Selection
Confirm the PG 9 thread, 4–8 mm cable diameter and 0.60-inch (15.2 mm) through hole. Use the appropriate standard or reduced insert for the required cable opening. Check the 6 mm thread length and order the locking nut separately as needed.
