Macromatic Relays Overview

Macromatic relays are available in several different types to check for errors and monitor functions. This includes alternating, current sensing, phase monitor, seal leak & temperature, time delay, voltage monitor, and intrinsically safe relays. Most are plug-in type relays that use an 8 or 11 pin octal socket, which are sold separately. Each type is made to perform a different function and are useful for many applications and industries, such as material handling, pump control, packaging, generator control, irrigation, & HVAC.

  • Door mount or plug-in
  • Made to equalize the run time between 2 or 3 loads
  • Most have selector switches to select a load or alternate loads
  • LED indicators show which load is on or next, depending on the model
  • SPDT, SPNO, DPDT, or DPDT cross wired outputs
  • Good for wastewater, pump control, & HVAC applications
Alternating Relays

  • Encapsulated housings for harsh conditions
  • Monitors for over-current, under-current, or both (using a selector switch)
  • Feature startup and trip time delays & integrated transformer
  • Checks AC single phase current
  • 10A SPDT output
  • LEDs show if there's a fault
  • Ideal for material handling, pump control, packaging equipment, car washes, irrigation, elevators, generators, & HVAC
Current Sensing Relays

Intrinsically Safe Relays

  • Plug-in or DIN rail mount
  • Controls the load in hazardous locations
  • SPNO or SPST-NO output
  • LED shows when relay is energized
  • Useful in wastewater and pump control applications
Intrinsically Safe Relays

  • Plug-in or DIN rail mount
  • Monitors 3 phase systems for phase loss, phase reversal, phase unbalance, overvoltage, or undervoltage
  • Some can check for all 5 types of errors
  • SPDT, DPDT, or SPNO output
  • LEDs indicate type of phase error
  • Useful for wastewater, material handling, pump control, packaging, car washes, irrigation, elevators, generators, & HVAC
Phase Monitor Relays

  • Plug-in or door mount
  • Check for leaks in submersible pumps
  • Temperature relays also monitor for over temperature conditions
  • SPDT, DPDT, or SPNO output
  • LEDs indicate if there is a leak or over temperature error
  • Used in wastewater or pump control applications
Seal Leak & Temperature Relays

  • Wide variety
  • Plug-in, encapsulated, modular, or 1/16 DIN
  • Programmable, single function, or multi-function units
  • Various timing ranges for different units
  • Adjustable timing - digital or analog

  • Ideal in material handling, pump control, packaging, car washes, irrigation, elevators, generators, & HVAC applications
Time Delay Relays

  • Plug-in or DIN rail mount
  • Checks AC single phase or DC voltage for over or under voltage
  • Voltage band relays monitor for voltage staying within set limits
  • SPDT or DPDT output
  • LEDs indicate output status
  • Fixed or adjustable time delays
  • Good for wastewater, material handling, pump control, packaging, car washes, irrigation, elevators, generators, & HVAC applications
