Linkable Bar / Internal Driver LED Light

What is a Light Efficient Design LBI LED light?

The Light Efficient Design LBI is a linkable linear LED light bar with an internal driver. FlexWatt and FlexColor technology lets installers select from three wattages and three color temperatures, providing as many as 9 lighting configurations from one product.

⚙️ 1. Choose the Length, Wattage & Color Temperature

Start with the fixture length. Then set the light output and CCT at installation instead of stocking separate fixtures for every wattage and color temperature.

2-Foot LBI
Approx. fixture length: 19.3"
FlexWatt:
6W • 9W • 12W
Lumens @ 3500K:
706 • 1,063 • 1,419
3-Foot LBI
Approx. fixture length: 31.3"
FlexWatt:
10W • 12W • 15W
Lumens @ 3500K:
1,335 • 1,648 • 1,961
4-Foot LBI
Approx. fixture length: 43.3"
FlexWatt:
10W • 15W • 25W
Lumens @ 3500K:
1,344 • 2,255 • 3,166

🎨 Standard FlexColor

3500K Neutral 4000K Natural 5000K Cool

🌤️ Warm FlexColor

2700K Soft 3000K Warm 3500K Neutral
9 configurations from one selectable light
3 wattages × 3 color temperatures = 9 possible configurations. This reduces the need to predict the final light level and CCT before the fixture reaches the jobsite.

🏭 2. Match the LBI to the Installation

The LBI platform can be configured for retrofit work, standalone linear lighting, or linked installations. Choose mounting accessories according to the fixture and application.

🏢

Troffers

Retrofit existing fluorescent-style troffers using LBI bars and linking cables where multiple bars are required.

🏭

High & Low Bays

Use blade clips, linking cables and available suspension hardware to build LED high-bay or low-bay configurations.

💧

Vapor-Tight Fixtures

Use the compact internal-driver light bar as the LED light source inside compatible vapor-tight housings.

↔️

Continuous Runs

Join bars with seamless or spacer connectors for long architectural, commercial or industrial linear runs.

📐

Cove & Display

Aim the light using the 45° mounting bracket for indirect cove lighting, displays and architectural illumination.

🚶

Stairwells & Passageways

Combine selectable output with occupancy and daylight controls where lighting demand changes throughout the day.

✓ Retrofit + fixture flexibility: The LBI is listed as both a UL 1598 Class A fixture and a UL 1598C retrofit kit, making the platform useful for both new fixture designs and LED upgrade projects.

🔌 3. Plan Wiring, Linking, & Controls

LBI light bars can operate individually or as linked systems. Pass-through power and control connections simplify multi-bar installations.

Light Efficient Design LBI series LED light wiring methods

🔗 Link Multiple Bars

Connect bars end-to-end or use linking cables when spacing is required between light bars.

📉 0-10V Dimming

Pass-through 0-10V control allows connected LBI light bars to be dimmed together as a group.

⚡ 12V Auxiliary Power

The auxiliary 12V output supports compatible inline occupancy and network control accessories.

Maximum End-to-End Linking Quantity

LBI Length 120V 208V 240V 277V
2-Foot 40 40 40 40
3-Foot 40 40 40 40
4-Foot 30 40 40 40
Important: These quantities apply to end-to-end linking configuration using the LBI junction box. Linking cables reduce allowable quantities. At 120VAC, it is recommended that there is a maximum of 24 units when linking cables are used.

Smart Control Options

👁 Microwave Occupancy

OC2/OC3 controls provide high/low occupancy operation with daylight harvesting.

🚶 PIR Occupancy

An inline passive infrared option provides occupancy sensing with compatible daylight control functions.

📱 Bluetooth Mesh

Silvair-compatible network nodes support wireless grouping, commissioning and lighting control.

☀️ Daylight Harvesting

Compatible sensors can reduce artificial lighting when adequate natural light is available.
