Right-Angle M16 Connection
The right-angle housing directs the cable exit away from a straight connector path, supporting connection layouts in small drives and industrial automation equipment. The 3-contact arrangement uses 2 mm crimp pins. Euro-Lock retains the contacts in position, while the M16 mating thread secures the connector interface.
Housing and Contact Construction
The housing measures 1.77 inches long × 1.56 inches wide × 0.77 inches high. Nickel-plated brass construction combines a metal housing with EMI shielding, and the PBT insert supports the contact arrangement. Brass alloy contacts have a gold-plated nickel contact surface. Match the 3–6 mm cable range to the outside diameter of the cable being installed.
Features and Benefits
- Right-angle male housing with an M16 mating thread.
- Euro-Lock contact retention keeps the crimp contacts in position.
- EMI shielding supports connections in industrial equipment.
- Nickel-plated brass housing with a PBT insert.
- Brass alloy contacts with a gold-plated nickel contact surface.
- IP67 / IP69K protection.
- Operating temperature: −40°F to 257°F (−40°C to 125°C).
- More than 1,000 mating cycles.
- Contacts can be inserted and removed without tools.
Included Components
The connector comes unassembled with separate housing, insert, and crimp contacts. The following components are included:
- Housing - (1) 3-6 mm (.12"-.24") Cable O.D. (P/N S7.831.300.000)
- Insert - (1) 3 pin, 20 A, 400V, for crimp contacts (P/N S7.003.983.101)
- Contacts - (3) 17-14 AWG 2 mm Crimp Pins (P/N S7.010.982.001)
Applications
Recommended uses include small drives, machine wiring, and industrial automation connections requiring three contacts in an M16 interface. This configuration combines 2 mm contacts with nominal ratings of 20 A and 400 V. Match the connector to the circuit requirements, cable diameter, and compatible mating contact arrangement.
Assembly and Installation Notes
- Confirm the 3–6 mm cable outside diameter (0.12–0.24 inches) before assembling the housing.
- Use the included 2 mm crimp pins with the compatible insert and match the conductor size to the required contact wire range.
- Terminate the conductors with a crimping tool suitable for the contacts.
- No tools are needed to insert or remove the contacts. Crimp termination still requires suitable tooling.
- Confirm the contact arrangement, M16 mating interface, and 20 A / 400 V nominal ratings against the connection requirements.
- Assemble the separate housing, insert, and contacts and maintain the sealing arrangement needed for IP67 / IP69K protection.
