Industrial Network Connectivity and Control

The Hirschmann GREYHOUND GRS105-24TX/6SFP-2HV-2A (part number 942287002) is a 30-port managed rackmount industrial Ethernet workgroup switch. It provides 24 10/100/1000 TX ports and six GE/2.5GE SFP slots. This combination supports copper and fiber connectivity for networks with multiple connected devices.

The fanless switch is compatible with Hirschmann HiOS 2A software. VLAN functions support network segmentation, and SNMP provides network management access. USB-C enables local management, while the SD card slot connects the ACA31 auto-configuration adapter. Two 110–240 V AC power inputs provide redundant power supply capability. This model replaces the MACH104-20TX-F. A five-year manufacturer’s guarantee applies.

Installation and Network Planning

Plan the rack layout around the switch dimensions and leave sufficient access for copper cables, SFP connections, and power wiring. Use the specified 110–240 V AC, 50–60 Hz supply and remain within the operating temperature and humidity limits.

Twisted-pair cable lengths extend to 100 m. Fiber cable distances depend on the selected SFP modules. Industrial HiVision network management software, the ACA31 adapter, and SFP/SFP+ modules are available to order separately.
