What are IMO Precision Controls products used for?

IMO Precision Controls components are used to power and protect industrial automation systems. DIN rail power supplies convert incoming AC or DC power into regulated DC voltage for PLCs, HMIs, sensors, relays and controls. IMO UB10 miniature circuit breakers provide resettable thermal-magnetic protection against overloads and short circuits in industrial branch circuits.

⚡ IMO DIN Rail Power Supplies

Start with the available input voltage, then match the DC output voltage and total connected load. IMO power supplies cover low-power control circuits up through 480W industrial panels, with specialized options for universal input, short peak loads, compact enclosures and high-voltage input systems.

Peak Performance

HPS Series

Use HPS power supplies when an industrial load needs extra short-duration output capacity or when a high-performance metal DIN rail supply is preferred.

Broadest Selection

LPS Series

LPS models are a practical starting point for PLC panels, machine controls and general industrial automation because the range covers multiple voltages, wattages and input configurations.

Compact Modular

SPS Series

Choose SPS models for compact control panels, building automation and lower-power DC circuits where DIN rail space matters.

Wide Input

WPS Series

Use WPS models when a machine has higher incoming voltage but still needs a regulated 24VDC control supply.

🛡️ IMO UB10 UL 489 Miniature Circuit Breakers

IMO UB10 DIN rail circuit breakers protect branch circuits against overloads and short circuits using thermal-magnetic protection. Models are available from 0.5A to 63A with 1-, 2- and 3-pole configurations and B, C or D trip curves.

📈 Choose the Correct Trip Curve

B Curve
3–5 × rated current

Best for loads with relatively low startup current.

View B Curve Circuit Breakers
C Curve
5–10 × rated current

A common choice for moderate-inrush industrial control loads.

View C Curve Circuit Breakers
D Curve
10–20 × rated current

Designed for loads with higher documented startup or inrush current.

View D Curve Circuit Breakers
⚠️ Avoid nuisance-trip guesswork: Do not automatically increase breaker amperage or move to a slower trip curve. Verify conductor current, load inrush, equipment requirements, available fault current and applicable electrical codes first.

🏭 Match IMO Components to the Application

PLC & HMI Control Panels

Start with LPS or SPS power supplies for stable 24VDC control power. Add UB10 circuit protection matched to conductor size, load and inrush requirements.

Motor & Actuator Controls

Consider HPS where the DC load has a short peak demand. C- or D-curve breakers may suit loads with moderate or high startup current when application requirements support the curve.

Compact OEM Equipment

SPS modular supplies help conserve cabinet space while providing regulated DC power for sensors, relays, controllers and other low-voltage devices.

High-Voltage Machinery

WPS supplies accept 180–550VAC input and provide 24VDC control power, making them useful when the machine supply is above the standard universal-input range.

High-Load 24VDC Panels

480W / 20A options including the BPS, HPS and LPS families can support larger groups of 24VDC control devices when their electrical and environmental ratings match the installation.

Industrial Distribution

UB10 breakers provide 1-, 2- and 3-pole thermal-magnetic protection for industrial control panels and branch circuits with configurations up to 63A.
