Make sure you don't have an M12/MDC and a MAC part mixed up. Check keyway: MAC uses a dual keyway (C-coded), M12 uses a single keyway (A-coded). Do not force it, as cross-threading will damage the connector.

Problem: Sensor reads incorrectly or won't power on after connection.

Wiring color codes differ between MAC and M12. Re-check pin-to-wire mapping against the MAC-specific color chart before assuming the sensor is faulty.

Problem: Moisture or debris inside the connector.

Confirm the connector is fully seated and threaded. IP67 rating only holds when properly mated. A loose connection voids the seal even if the part itself is rated correctly.
