š Troubleshooting: When Your Alarm Isn't Working
š No sound at all
- Verify supply voltage matches nameplate
- Check for a blown fuse on the input line
- Confirm polarity on DC models
- Test continuity of lead wires before condemning the unit
š Sound is too quiet
- Confirm voltage is within ±10% of rated value
- Check for obstructions in front of the horn face
- Re-evaluate dB rating vs ambient noise floor
- Consider stepping up to a higher volume series
š Wrong tone playing
- For MSP / KSP: tone is wiring-based. Re-check wiring diagram
- Confirm you ordered the correct version (siren vs melody)
- On KSP: verify terminal connections match desired sound pattern

- On KPL: verify buzzer terminal vs LED terminal wiring
- Check that buzzer input is independently energized
- Test buzzer with bench supply to isolate panel wiring
š” EMI / Interference issues
- KMB DC versions can cause interference. Add a snubber diode across the coil
- Route alarm wiring away from VFD and servo cabling
- Use shielded cable for long signal runs
- Consider AC version of KMB if EMI persists
š Alarm won't shut off
- Check PLC output. Confirm signal is going low/off
- Look for shorted output card on the control side
- For latching-style alarms, verify reset input is wired
- Disconnect power.

5 Rules Before You Order

Measure your ambient noise. Your alarm must exceed it by at least 10 dB.

Confirm your supply voltage. AC and DC versions are not interchangeable.

Check your panel cutout. KSP = 66 mm. HRB = 30 mm. KPL = 22 mm. K16 = 16 mm. Measure twice.
