Required for Solid Inserts: drill bits, freezer access
- Select appropriate insert: Choose pre-drilled or solid plug insert based on cable count
- For solid inserts: Freeze insert for 2+ hours, then drill while fitted to prevent splitting
- Insert cables: Ensure 80% fill ratio for proper sealing
- Tighten dome nut: Compress insert until snug (don't over-tighten)
4Insert Customization Options
Sealcon offers three insert configurations:
- Pre-drilled inserts: Standard hole patterns (1-10 holes)
- Solid plug inserts: Custom drilling for exact cable sizes
- Special materials: Silicone or Viton inserts available by request
