M12 Receptacles & Panel Mount Connectors Provide Ease of Use

M12 receptacles & panel mount connectors provide a field-wireable bulkhead that serves as a connection point for M12 cables. The micro receptacles we offer here through Major Electronix all feature plug-and-play capabilities which makes them useful in a wide variety of applications. They are available from such brands as Mencom, Hirschmann, HTP, Sealcon, and Lumberg Automation. The Mencom M12 receptacles are also called Micro DC or MDC. Like the M12 cordsets, the receptacles are most beneficial for use in applications using sensors and actuators, particularly in manufacturing. Depending on the type, they can be constructed from aluminum, polyamide, or nickel-plated brass with gold-plated copper alloy contacts. M12 receptacles have M12 size mating thread, for a corresponding coupling nut, and a single keyway. They come in male or female versions and can have 2-12 poles. The mounting threads are available in various metric, PG, or NPT sizes. The M12 receptacle connectors that come with lead wire have a 12-inch standard lead length, with a 24, 22, or 18 AWG rating. The lead wire can be rated at 300V or 60V, depending on the type. The various M12 receptacles feature styles that can be mounted in a number of ways, including back-mounted, PCB-mounted, or thru-mounted. All the M12 receptacles have a wide operating temperature range.
