HSTB3/4 shrink tubing is used primarily to keep wires & cables protected by acting as insulation. Keeping dirt and debris off of splices and inline components is another benefit to using heat shrink. This tubing can be implemented as a light duty temporary harness for wire or cable when cable ties are not needed. It is also useful when wires need to be color coded for identification purposes.
Once heat is applied to the tubing, it shrinks down to about half of its original diameter. This encases the wire or connection with an effective safeguard against foreign contaminants. After heating, it has a nominal recovered wall thickness of 0.031". You'll be able to cut it to whatever length is needed, since it comes in quantities of 100ft.
