HSTBD1/8 can protect wires by acting as insulation, while also keeping dirt or moisture away. The dual wall construction, lined with adhesive, provides a tight seal against surrounding environmental conditions. It supplies greater strength for applications in electrical and power distribution, as well as connector to cable transitions. It works well in applications that require an especially secure fit.

When heat is introduced to the tubing, it can shrink down to about one third of its original diameter. The inside adhesive melts and flows, encasing the wire or connection with an effective safeguard against outside dust or moisture. After heating, it has a total nominal recovered wall thickness of 0.037", with the adhesive wall thickness being 0.014". With a 500ft reel, the tubing can be cut to nearly any length the application requires.
