Sealcon PG 48 nickel plated brass hazardous location (Hazloc) cord grips are used in applications that require greater performance and fire resistance, which is accomplished without twisting the cable. This cable gland provides a NEMA 4x & 6 (IP 68 & 69K), 150 PSIG (10 bar) Liquid Tight Rating. Increase modularity by switching out the standard or reduced inserts. The self locking ACME thread on the dome top makes sure the overlapping splines create an even seal. This prevents the form seal from being pulled out of the fitting & provides your cable with pull-out protection so no damage is caused. EMI/RFI Proof cord grips meet the standards for electromagnetic interference protection and reliable grounding. This standard version presses braiding against the inside wall via the integrated O-Ring. It can only be used with a braided shield. Plant equipment, control panels, railroads, and measuring and feedback systems are all applications that benefit from these types of cord grips. Hazardous location cable glands are ATEX approved, meaning they are intended for potentially explosive environments. The CD48AR-EX is labeled Ex-e, indicating greater safety
