A wide variety of industries use Sealcon M40 x 1.5 Metric Nickel Plated Brass Multi-hole Cord Grips, Strain Relief Fittings or Cable Glands when connecting wire or cable to their applications. This cord grip provides a NEMA 4x (IP 65) rating. To reach this rating, the cable cannot be less than 80% of the diameter of the hole. The difference between the cable's diameter and the diameter of the hole cannot be more than .04" (1 mm). In order to make the NEMA 6 (IP 68) submersible rating possible, there must be an ideal fit. The ACME thread on the CD40MPBR dome top is self locking and makes sure that the overlapping splines apply an even seal. This way the form seal is kept from being pulled out of the fitting & it provides your cable with pull-out protection so there is no damage.
