When heat dissipation, noise and airflow are critical design elements, the SC92-W2 design allows for 23-30% greater airflow, heat removal and substantially less objectionable noise than even the optimum sheetmetal guard. The GardTec SC92-W2 is a 4 position, 92 mm, 6 ring nickel plated chrome fan guard that can be crossed with a Qualtek #08134 / 08174.

When selecting a wire form fan guard, make sure it corresponds to the size of the cooling fan. The fan can also achieve a longer lifespan and use less energy through the use of a cooling fan guard.
