The Hirschmann Spider III SPIDER-SL-40-08T1999999SZ9HHHH (P/N: 942132-004) is an 8 port unmanaged Industrial ETHERNET Rail-Switch that features store and forward switching mode, Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbit/s), 8 x 10/100/1000BASE-T, TP-cable, RJ45 sockets, auto-crossing, auto-negotiation & auto polarity. It works well when larger amounts of data need to be transmitted over longer distances. The Spider III SL-40-08T1 has Gigabit capability while still being a cost effective solution. It has plug and play installation, and is designed to provide reliable performance even under harsher conditions. Common applications include machine builders, automation & manufacturing plants, solar power, and traffic control.

  • Auto polarity exchange - If the receive line pair is incorrectly connected (RD+ and RD- switched) polarity is automatically reversed.
  • Auto-negotiation - a procedure in which the switch automatically selects the operating mode of its 10/100 RJ-45 ports.
  • Auto-crossing - automatically configures its port for the correct transmit and receive pins
  • Twisted pair RJ45 ports connect based on the IEEE 802.3 standard
  • 1000 Mbit/s full duplex
  • 100 Mbit/s half-duplex mode, 100 Mbit/s full duplex mode
